The rule your training already follows

“employee training required by OSHA standards must be presented in a manner that employees can understand”
OSHA Training Standards Policy Statement, April 28, 2010

19.1%

Foreign-born workers made up 19.1% of the U.S. labor force in 2025, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

A work instruction your operator can't read is a quality risk and a safety risk. The fix is the same document in the language they read best.

Turnaround

Translated before the next shift

Engineering revises a work instruction at 6 a.m. With an agency, the Spanish version shows up tomorrow at the earliest. Upload it here and it can be at the station before first shift ends.

What changes on the page, and what stays locked

Words are translated. Part numbers, torque values and units keep their exact characters, and the translation goes back into the same title block, table and steps. Upload a digital PDF, a Word SOP you keep editing, a scanned binder or a long equipment manual in one upload.

Safety review

Which documents can go straight to the floor

Manufacturing translation is AI translation here, with no human translator. That is fast enough for most SOP translation, and not enough on its own for anything a regulator reads. Sort your documents like a stack light.

Staff handbooks and onboarding forms have their own guide: HR document translations.

  1. Translate and post

Work instructions, SOPs, training guides and checklists.

Have a bilingual lead read it once, then post it at the station.

  2. Translate, then your safety lead checks

Warnings, lockout/tagout steps and PPE rules.

In our sample the warning was translated correctly but came back in much smaller type. Check that warnings are as big and bold as the original.

  3. Use a specialist

Safety data sheets, product labels covered by hazard communication rules, and regulatory filings.

You can translate them here to read. This tool does not check regulatory format.

Manufacturing document translation questions

Will part numbers, specs and units change?

No. Part numbers, torque values and units come back exactly as written, and nothing is converted. In our test run, 25 N·m (18 lbf·ft) and 4.5 bar matched the source character for character.

Can I translate a safety data sheet?

You can translate one to read it. Safety data sheets and hazard labels have required formats, so use a specialist for any version you publish or ship.

Can I translate a scanned SOP?

Yes, if it is written in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish. Clear, straight scans work best. Scans in other scripts are not read reliably.

Which languages can I translate into?

Any of 70 languages. Spanish is preselected on this page, and you can change it before you pay.

Can I keep editing the translated SOP?

Upload a Word file and you get an editable Word file back. A PDF comes back as a translated PDF with the same layout.

How much does technical document translation cost?

You pay per 1,000 words and see the exact price after upload, before you pay. A verified free account includes 3,000 words, enough to test a few work instructions first.
